MAP: Indigenous and Non-Western approaches to Philosophy of Science

MAP International proposes a session on Indigenous and non-Western philosophy of science.

This session invited philosophers to share research on this topic broadly and suggested paper

topics such Indigenous land ethics, Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK), Non-Western

philosophy of science fiction, right attribution to environmental entities. The session will include

papers that discuss the nature of values within science and it will highlight the importance and

value of non-Western approaches. The session will include a presentation and Q&A with

Keynote speaker, Shelbi Nahwilet Meissner.
